Jem and the Holograms: the Misfits
Jem and the Holograms: the Misfits | Kelly Thompson
4 posts | 3 read | 5 to read
Their songs may be better, but the Misfits have lost their label and nobody will touch them in the music business. On the ropes and desperate to get back on top, theyre forced to consider the worst case scenarioA MISFITS REALITY TV SHOW. Though it promises the chance to get them back in the spotlight, it comes with a heavy, privacy-destroying price.

I enjoyed this side story line to get a more in depth background sketch on each misfit. Storm's narrative resonates the most with me personally; feeling too big and like you can't fit in the world, feeling the need to make yourself small (in every way) if you're bigger physically. 💔

I love her eventual realisation. ♥️

Great art! Great story lines! I loved getting more background on all the Misfits, because it made me like not just Stormer 😂😁
I think a lot of current topics are brought up in this volume, which makes it relatable for a lot of girls/women (probs others too).

YES !!! This is what I want to see and read! As the ever plump/fat/blimp/cow/"pregnant"/obese/big boned/chubby girl, who has lost a chunk of weight more than once, and still is at least chubby or curvy according to our social norms, this is what makes me feel seen and heard #bopo
I still struggle with picking myself apart, like most other women (and men?) I imagine, so this was my self care today. Find a role model who says SUCK IT, SOCIETY!

Weaponxgirl Love this! Society can suck it! I always do this thing where I look at other people and think they look great in all the multiples of ways that people can look awesome but when it comes to myself I'm so bloody mean. Let's not let our self destructive voices get in the way 6y
Andrea4 @Weaponxgirl so true! I think some of the best advice I have heard is speak to yourself like you'd speak to your best friend! 6y

My first #BookSnaps #ComicBookSnaps on Litsy, so of course it's a Kelly Thompson book. Loving the Jem universe, and this Misfits book continues that greatness.
