I decided: I want to finish this saga this year!
I love the story and it's a pleasure to read about The Cazalet 🥰

The Cazalets confront the new challenges of peacetime, and a Labour government and the familiar one of choosing totally unsuitable partners. The Polly and Louise storylines are perhaps a bit Mills and Boony but hey I'm an addict.
Volume 4 of the Cazalet Chronicles. Of course, I loved it. (Did anyone have a doubt?) So much drama & developments in the early post-war years - lots of endings but also new beginnings. Looking forward to vol. 5!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spent most of Canadian Thanksgiving finishing this and it was WORTH IT!
Love the Cazalets! This one made me cry.
Book 5 (the final volume 😢) has been ordered!
Look at the pretty spine on this edition of Book 4 of the Cazalet Chronicles! Kind of makes me want to buy the whole set!
And happy to be back in this world!
It‘s a moody, rainy late afternoon. Work is over for the week, and I‘m easing into the weekend with my current read, soft music via Calm Radio and dark chocolate. Happy weekend to each and every one of you!! 🍂
Excellent Women by Barbara Pym

I try really hard to avoid #booksthatmademecry because most of the time I'm reading to escape the real world. Fault in our stars left me in a weepy heap at 3am and I've avoided everything similar since. So for #riotgrams today I've picked the 4th Cazalet book where the end of the war brings resolutions and tears, mostly happy/of relief. Love this series.
My pick for #peace in #maybookflowers is the fourth Cazalet book - which sees the end of WW2 and everyone adapting to peacetime and the changes the war has wrought. I love this series and this was the last for 20 years. Although the fifth book is good, this is still my favourite because you get Polly and Clary's grown up happy endings. If you've never read these, treat yourself and start at the beginning. You won't regret it.
