I saw this film today. I have been a fan of Gareth Edwards' films since "Monsters" (2010). With its political struggles & extended battles it is one of the darkest Star Wars films. Great film. If you are looking for words of wisdom at the end of a difficult year & facing the years ahead, you can do worse than Jyn Erso's "rebellions are built on hope."

LiaMahony Going tomorrow. I'm excited. 7y

mrsh62010 Saw it with (just the men of) my family on Xmas Eve. Loved it so much. Wanna go again with my bestie asap. 7y
vivastory @mrsh62010 It's a great movie. Surprisingly dark for a mainstream movie. Darth Vader was brutal in it. 7y
mrsh62010 Yes, he's in his prime for sure. I also love that I can always count on star wars to represent heroic women that are tough and smart and brave. In short: I LOVE STAR WARS! 7y
vivastory @mrsh62010 Heroic women for sure! Jyn Erso & Rey are two of my favorite characters from the whole series. 7y

May have to sneak through a few pages of this before wrapping up for my 12-year-old - we saw the movie this morning and adored it so much. I even legit cried, much to my surprise (and my son's mild horror 😜)!
