I want to dive into Edith Wharton, but I'm not sure what to start with. Advice, please?

@SerialReader

Readergrrl I loved Innocence but you may like to start with Ethan Frome, simply because of its brevity in comparison with the others. Ethan is a book that I teach in my high school classes and it‘s prose is just elegant. 6y
HannaPolkadots I like them all, but I would recommend starting with Summer 🌞 6y
Jas16 Age of Innocence is my personal favorite 6y

Kryckett Hands down, The House of Mirth. Lilly Bart is one of my favorite literary characters. 6y
REPollock House of mirth! ❤️ 6y
2BR02B @Readergrrl I was thinking about that, but I'm a little put off by seeing it described as an "intense tragedy." It might be a little too heavy for my current mood. 6y
2BR02B @HannaPolkadots I hadn't heard of it, but the description had me at "a young woman's sexual awakening." I'm excited to start reading. Thanks for the rec! 6y
HannaPolkadots Anytime! Now I kind of wanna reread it...😉😆 6y

Love me some Edith Wharton❣️ However, if she had said bath. . .

SilversReviews I‘d go for the feather bed. :) I don‘t like heights. 6y
Sydsavvy @SilversReviews - yeah, it‘s “looks” good but maybe in reality not so much, right?! 😂😎 (edited) 6y

Pretty weird when a book cover misspells the author's name.
