As I‘m listening to The Escape Artist (Freedland), I‘m reading various articles and such on the side, but this popped up yesterday and I wanted to post something (in awestruck appreciation), as I‘d never heard of Kaminsky (which is a shame, as he was a hero). He died on Monday at the age of 97. Here‘s his obituary: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/01/09/world/europe/adolfo-kaminsky-dead.html

CBee “I saved lives because I can‘t deal with unnecessary deaths — I just can‘t,” he told The New York Times in 2016. “All humans are equal, whatever their origins, their beliefs, their skin color. There are no superiors, no inferiors. That is not acceptable for me.” 1y
Suet624 Thank you for sharing this. The number of brave men and women who stepped up to save others during WWII is so impressive. 1y
