Mehso-so

Alice has quite a story to tell. That's not her real name. She couldn't give you her real name, not after the things she reveals about herself in this book. All of her adventures and the killing. She wouldn't want the police to find her, now would she?
First Laymom novel & color me intrigued over impressed on this one. It's long w/ dragging spots but had me wanting to see how it all would end up. I'd still read another Laymon so we'll see. 2.5/5

Why why why do I like this crap? It's the absolute nadir of literature. Unrealistic and one-dimensional characters in implausible situations. Filled with one-sentence paragraphs and pointless rambling dialogue to pad out what is basically a novella into a full book. No descriptions. No plot. Sadistic antagonists with no motives except violence and rape. This author's works are dreadful beyond description... but I still read them.

Reggie Have you ever read the Island or the Traveling Vampire Circus by him? Theyre good but there comes a point where you have to suspend certain beliefs in reality. Like the Island, the mother, the older daughter, and the bf survive, only to have the bf keep them as love slaves kept in cages. And everyones happy............. what? Lol rest in peace Laymon. 7y
Runner5ive I've read Island; Travelling Vampire Show is TBR 7y
