Come along on an adventure with Jack and Annie back to colonial times. How did the United States gain its independence? Read to find out! Magic Tree House book #22 Revolutionary War on Wednesday written by Mary Osborne is one of my favorite MTH books. This HF book would be a perfect supplement to your historical unit about the Revolutionary War. Teachers can RA this book while connecting it to information being taught in the unit.

AshleyH In addition to the RA during the historical unit, this book would also be a great for LC groups.

The Magic Tree House books received the New York Times Bestselling Series.

AshleyH UDL- Offer alternatives for visual information (1.3)
Reading this MTH book gives an alternative to visual information that is presented through presentations of the historical unit.
EL- 10. Teach think, pair and share strategies in cooperative groups
In LCs students will have the chance to share their ideas about the content of the book. This is good because one student will be able to remind another student of something they could've forgotten.

Emmaturtle3 LOVE the Magic Treehouse books and students do too!! I think this book is really great for a history lesson as are many of the other Magic Treehouse books! Thank you for sharing that awesome resource! It‘s so great that it shares activities for each and everyone of their books, will definitely be using that in my future classroom! 4y
DrSpalding You could certainly read these books aloud in order to students during ELA or even after lunch. I also like the idea of offering them for literature circle options. Nice job providing additional information regarding universal design and English learner strategies. When students talk about the books it does tend to help them comprehend the text even better. 4y

[DELETED] 3803335244 I love that paper towel holder! We don‘t use paper towels but I‘d buy it anyway put toilet paper on in the bathroom by the toilet instead of under the sink!!! Love ❤️ 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage That is fantastic! 6y
MommyOfTwo @ForeverNerdy they show it being used for toilet paper too. I like that idea too but don‘t have room in my bathroom for it. 6y
Gezemice The Lunar Chronicles are fun! I recommend them a lot, too! 6y

Reading with Mimi (6yo): "For one thing, I liked hearing about soliders crossing the sea (the Delaware River). I also like that Jack and Annie find notes all the time in the treehouse. I like to hear about kids getting into trouble like me. I thought it was neat that Jack noticed George Washington's face on a dollar bill. I didn't know that. This book is good for anybody."
