Lunch Walks Among Us
Lunch Walks Among Us | Jim Benton
2 posts | 4 read | 3 to read
Franny K. Stein is not your average girl—she’s a mad scientist. She prefers poison ivy to daisies, and when Franny jumps rope, she uses her pet snake. The kids in Franny’s class think she’s weird, wacky, and just plain creepy. Tired of being stared at, Franny decides to attempt her most dangerous experiment yet—she’s going to fit in. But when a giant Monstrous Fiend attacks the class, everyone knows only a true mad scientist can save the day. But has Franny lost her creepy, crawly ways?

Franny K. Stein is a new series for us. Although my daughter is reading above grade level, I love finding these great, on grade level stories for her to enjoy!

saresmoore These were highly recommended to me for my daughter, as well. I'd love to hear what you think! 7y

The first "big kid" book my kid has read alone. For the month of #October I thought I would share with her #Halloween themed books. Franny is so funny! Even I was laughing as my kid read aloud, the hubs laughed too whenever he was in earshot. The story keeps you interested and was suspenseful w/o being too scary. My kid loves the #Frankenstein movie so she especially enjoyed all the allusions. #GiveaScaryBook #AllHallowsRead
