Molly on the Range
Molly on the Range: Recipes and Stories from an Unlikely Life on a Farm | Molly Yeh
12 posts | 6 read | 3 reading | 6 to read
In 2013, food blogger and classical musician Molly Yeh left Brooklyn to live on a farm on the North Dakota-Minnesota border, where her fiancé was a fifth-generation Norwegian-American sugar beet farmer. Like her award-winning blog My Name is Yeh, Molly on the Range chronicles her life through photos, more than 120 new recipes, and hilarious stories from life in the city and on the farm. Molly’s story begins in the suburbs of Chicago in the 90s, when things like Lunchables and Dunkaroos were the objects of her affection; continues into her New York years, when Sunday mornings meant hangovers and bagels; and ends in her beloved new home, where she’s currently trying to master the art of the hotdish. Celebrating Molly's Jewish/Chinese background with recipes for Asian Scotch Eggs and Scallion Pancake Challah Bread and her new hometown Scandinavian recipes for Cardamom Vanilla Cake and Marzipan Mandel Bread, Molly on the Range will delight everyone, from longtime readers to those discovering her glorious writing and recipes for the first time.

There's only been one episode (on Food Network) so far, but I already love it!

This is a cookbook you can totally read like a bookbook. I've done that and it was great and now I cannot wait to start making things out of it!

It's Aloha Friday 🌺🌴and since it's warm and slightly humid today I'm back to acai bowls on Friday at the coffee shop. Isn't this one pretty?! I paged through this cookbook a bit before getting to work. The author has a series coming up on Food Network in June and I was curious, so I checked it out from my library Overdrive. I've got to finish up a project, then hopefully start the weekend.

Herschelian I know this is off topic, but I hope you guys are ok with what is happening with the volcano- stay safe! 6y
DebinHawaii @Herschelian Mahalo for asking. 💜Yes, we are on a different island and so far are not having any kind of impact from it. But I'm definitely thinking of everyone impacted by it. It's scary stuff. 6y

I'm new to Molly but now I love her. I hadn't read any of her blog before reading this book but I'm happy to know there's a huge back log of posts waiting for me

So much more than food! This book is filled with fun stories from the heart. Molly's voice and personality shine through on every page with the cheery style I've come to know and love from her blog. I love food and books and great books that combine the two...well, enough said!

I love to read cookbooks. even though I am now vegan, I still love to read all kinds of cookbooks. O stumbled upon Molly on the Range on Hoopla while not being able to sleep and wanting to look at something light that I could skip pages. Part Memoir, part cookbook, mostly all funny and endearing, this was worth the download. I'd like to have brunch with Molly, and I'll probably try her recipe foe scallion pancakes...we share that guilty pleasure.
