1. I have been overthinking this since @Andrew65 tagged me. 😂 Is this the oldest from first publication, first English translation, or the actual edition I read? If the first, the probably The Iliad. If either of the others, I have no idea.
2. As many as possible as long as the quality stays high. I‘d rather the author stop writing than phone it in
3. The tagged series when the author died. 😔

Andrew65 I love these books @DGRachel @Eggs
I imagine the Iliad will be the winner by a country mile!

I know they are called the Sir John Fielding mysteries, but the real star of the show is Jeremy Proctor, who is 13 when we first meet him. #childprotagonists #photoadaynov16

LizzyM I remember reading the first couple books in this series years ago and really enjoying them, but I had totally lost track of them! I think I need to revisit! 7y
DGRachel @LizzyM Yes, they were all good. I was sad when Mr Alexander passed. You can tell another writer finished the final book in the series. 😢 7y
LizzyM @DGRachel oh no! I didn't know that😢 when an author dies it is like all of their characters die too. Sad in many ways:( 7y

I loved this historical crime series with the very beginning of the Bow Street Runners. Bruce Alexander's writing really sucks you in. I was devastated when he passed and the series ended. #couldntputitdown #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge
