Hard to say much of anything about this book. I am surprised it won awards. The ending wasn‘t shocking but I didn‘t guess it either. I am not sure I liked the style of the writing either. The cover and description are better than the actual book. If you are looking for a quick mysterious read then this is a good book for that.

This is a very short read based (loosely) on a real murder of a family told from the perspective of the neighbors. An ending I didn't see coming but didn't surprise me either. What I need to think over was why I picked this cheery setting for such a dark book? šŸ¤” #bookphotography

Short but brilliantly eerie read set on a post war German farm. Dark, unexpected themes with an unsettling build to the conclusion.

The Murder Farm is a story based on the Hinterkaifeck murders. Different points of view give a variety of impressions about the victims' lives and the aftermath of their deaths. I have nothing bad to say about the book, but personally it didn't stand out or really grab me. The thing that made the Hinterkaifeck murders so creepy was how unsolvable it is. Giving a simple explanation in fiction made it anticlimactic for me.
