Read for #Roll100 (#59) in May (I‘m catching up with reviews) & this was a fun take on The Bachelor. Not much of a Cinderella retelling as advertised other than the MC being named Cindy & having (not evil) stepsisters/stepmother, but it‘s a cute body-positive rom-com book. I had a #OnceUponABookClub box for it & got gifts to open which made it fun. This is part of a Meant To Be fairytale series by different authors.

so-soI really enjoyed Astrid‘s story. She gave me Daisy Jones vibes minus the drugs and rock and roll. I think Blythe‘s story added some depth as well, and I could see a lot of parallels between hers and her mom‘s. And while I understood the want to have a multi-generational story with Mizza‘s (Astrid‘s mom) backstory, I felt hers was largely unnecessary and that the heart of the story would still be there even without it.

pickA fantastic biography of the luxury fashion brand Gucci from the time of inception to its many public battles, it‘s creative processes, and ofcourse the brutal murder of Maurizio Gucci by his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani.
P.s the back cover sounds like the entire book is on the murder but it‘s not! It‘s primarily a book on the fashion business. If you like books on fashion, business and strategy this makes for a gripping read. Loved it.
pickCame along this for a challenge and I just couldn't stop reading. Not that I wanted to. Finished it in one sitting. I laughed and had such a good time with these characters and loved the afterword, where Muniz states that this story is loosely based on her own love story ❤
pickTHIS BOOK STARTS OUT FRICKIN ADORABLE WITH THE CHARACTERS BOUNCING OFF EACH OTHER ABOUT CHEESE AND FASHION AND DOGS AND FRIENDSHIP, AND THEN IT GETS HEARTBREAKING WITH BRIE PROCESSING FEELINGS AND IDEAS HER SOCIETY HAS TOLD HER ARE IMPOSSIBLE, AND THE ART IS SO GREAT, AND THE WORLD IS SO COOL, AND I LOVED IT SO DAMNED MUCH I WANNA SCREAM ABOUT IT ALL DAY. 5 STARS. #gaymay
