Thoroughly enjoying Egger's images and sense of humor.

I love this book. Exceptional, beautifully written poetic memoir broken into short stories that are connecting in their openness and vulnerability. Gurba's voice is unique and her wit is sharp. I highly recommend Mean.

Sometimes a book crush overtakes me quickly and by surprise, as this one did while reading this piece.

Highly recommend the audiobook as the reader does a phenomenal job. The job is made easier with a story that is difficult to put down, characters that I cared about, and engrossing, beautiful writing.

I did not always enjoy reading more than one book at a time. I always have something I feel like reading when I'm reading five at a time.
