My May #BookSpin 🧁 Fake It Till You Bake It is a true light-hearted romcom that brings together Donovan, an NFL player who is the owner of a Sugar Blitz, and Jada, a reality TV star hiding from the negatives of social media. A fake romance turns into anything but all while navigating family dynamics, crowds of camera waving fans, self-doubt, and learning disability. Loved it!!

Unfortunately, not my favorite of the series. A lot jam packed into these pages that made it difficult for me to feel attached to the different stories unfolding. Although the ending of this one has me more than ready to read the next one!

Oh my goodness, my heart is bursting! An amazing queer romance, full of so much humor and genuine characters you can‘t help but fall in love with. Also this book does not shy away from mental health diagnoses and the impact it can have on a person‘s life, especially when not understood by those around them. Highly recommend this book!
Audiobooks and puzzling is a great combination but I will say, this has been one of the hardest puzzles yet!!

Such a fun audiobook!! Character growth combined with relationship development and witty humor, couldn‘t help myself but love following along! An easy listen and not to mention another book that writes of both the amazingness and challenges for women in STEM ❤️ I hope there will be more to come by Farrah Rochon.

What a beautiful debut! Wow, at first I wasn‘t sure about the dual timeline but then I started putting the puzzle pieces of the story together and it was amazing. Such great descriptions and character development. Highly recommend!
May #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin 🤓
Kept things chill this month and needed to pick a NetGalley read and a Hardcover book on my bookshelf so these are the two I picked!! Time to read!!
After another unsuccessful reading month in April, I‘m switching things up for May!!
New #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin board to give me a little more freedom in book choice which I hope will get me in the reading groove again. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Well, not my favorite of the Chief Inspector Gamache series but that doesn‘t mean it was bad by any means. Louise Penny has the capability to write of two different stories with rich, historical depth - all happening simultaneously and then woven together at the very end to the point where no detail is forgotten. I love her writing!! This book just didn‘t hit the usual wow factor for me.
Thank you, thank you, thank you @AmyG 🥰❤️ Such a sweet surprise and one that really brightened my day. I appreciate you so much!!
I hope all #LitsyLove writers know how much my face lights up with a smile when I get a letter from you. I know I‘ve been slow to respond lately but I‘m still enjoying every moment getting to know everyone through snail mail and share all about our lives and interests. Cheers to many more 💌

Ugh. I really wanted to love this book. I think the concept and idea is there but the writing is lacking and the characters have no depth. As someone who lives off character growth and development, I could not get hooked. After 26% I found myself wanting to read anything but this book so I decided to bail. Not something I usually do but sometimes you just have to move on 🤷🏻♀️
#BookSpin March pick done.
Pumped for April!! I did not read either of my March BookSpin and DoubleSpin 🤦🏻♀️ I plan to finish them another month but also ready for a fresh start in April! Fingers crossed for a better reading month 🤞🏻📖🤓 #BookSpin #DoubleSpin
#CurrentlyReading and so very excited to continue along with The Three Pines series 🌲🌲🌲
March has been a slow, reading month for me. Fingers crossed for a much more productive April 🤞🏻

Finally. I have FINALLY finished Under the Whispering Door and it was okay. I know - unpopular opinion here. The ending was amazing, but the middle of the books was just too slow for me to feel interested. If I hadn‘t already read Cerulean Sea, I don‘t know if I would have had the desire to keep reading 🤷🏻♀️

Can always count on Kat Martin to get me out of a book slump! The Last Goodnight did exactly that. Ellie, a private investigator, is hired by Kade to figure out who murdered his wife 8 years prior. While Ellie tries to focus on the investigation, she can‘t help but get side tracked by a number of unexpected events, including Kade himself. While I enjoyed it, I really didn‘t care for how it all wrapped up.
I have been in the biggest reading slump lately so I decided to switch things up. I can always count on Kat Martin so when I saw The Last Goodnight at B&N, I couldn‘t pass it up!
Now I am hooked 😍📖

Yesssssss!! Ugh I loved every moment. I only docked a star because it is 100% predictable but that didn‘t get in the way of my obsession. Not to mention, the author focuses on women in STEM and that just is music to my ears. Will be picking up more Ali Hazelwood reads for sure 📖
March #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin 📖🎉
February seriously went by way too fast! Only read/listened to four. A slower month for me and I found it hard to just sit down and read. Fingers crossed for a better March! 📖🤓

February #DoubleSpin pick and I loved, LOVED, loved this book. Straightforward and honest, a must read/listen for all!
Woke up today thinking of @sharread 💞 I haven‘t been able to read as much for the Readathon as I hoped but might be able to squeeze in time this weekend. Thinking of her, of this community, of her friends, and all the lives she touched.
A photo of Fitz and Leah to honor her love of cats 🐾
I didn‘t know @sharread but I can see that she touched the lives of many in this wonderful Litsy community. It is members like Sharon who make this space the welcoming, beautiful, and creative place it is! I will be reading the tagged book along with my other current reads in honor of Sharon ❤️❤️❤️

After seeing this book literally everywhere, I grabbed it on Libro.fm to listen. My final thoughts - I loved the characters and liked the story and LOVED the narrators. I wonder if I read the book if I would have been as eager to read. But I found this story to be a hard sell. How one man hypnotized an entire town and then suddenly, everyone just started remembering.. that was hard for me to wrap my head around.
Another puzzle completed this weekend while listening to the tagged read. It is called “Book Nerd” and a tough one without a doubt but totally worth it 🤓

Finished up my January #DoubleSpin this past week and forgot to post about it! Fantasy is a new genre for me and at first I was a little unsure but by the halfway point, I was hooked. Thankfully so, since I have the entire series on kindle.

Purposefully planned a full morning of cleaning just so I could put my AirPods in and finish listening to this one. So worth it. Highly recommend.
P.S. I have finally caught up with all my #Litsylove letters since moving. I‘ve been slow but just put a stamp on the final one. Look forward to many, many more 💌

How? I really need someone to tell me how Louise Penny does it. She writes mysteries woven together with history, poetry, art, and murder. She creates characters that you instantly become attached to. She takes you on a rollercoaster of a ride, plops you at the end and drops a giant “OMG” moment. And now I‘m left, trying to process the last 389 pages. All I can say is - Goodness I LOVED this one!!

I‘ve seen Nora Roberts around quite a bit but have yet to read or listen to any of her books. Now I just finished listening to The Awakening and I am hooked!! The character development and individualized personalities are worth the read alone. I am in love with Breen and Keegan but let‘s be honest, I wish I had a Marco in my life! So good and cannot wait to continue the series.
I just want to say a GIANT thank you to the #LitsyLove friends who sent me all the birthday wishes both on Litsy and in the mail. I am thankful to be a part of this amazing community 🥳🎉🎈❤️

Happy New Year‘s Eve 🎇
Looking forward to jumping into the #bookspin and #doublespin with @TheAromaofBooks for the first time 🤗 Total newbie here with an outrageous backlist of books (physical, kindle, and audio) 📚 I am super excited and hope this will help me tackle that list one by one!
Cheers to the books to be read in 2022 🥂

My most recent #audiobook and Reese‘s Book Club pick. I really liked getting to know Lucky and listening to her life evolve throughout the storyline. It came full circle for me in the end which is always a positive if you ask me. A quick and easy listen that made unpacking a little less painful!

Second book of the trip and I don‘t even know how I am going to write a review that successfully articulates how I am feeling about this one. I devoured Heart Bones by Colleen Hoover and by the end, I struggled to read the words on the page through the tears that filled my eyes.
I wish I could read more of Samson and Beyah ❤️
I recommend to everyone!
First read of the trip done and earned a solid 4 🌟 from me. Did it read a little out of this world? Yes. Did I still love it? Yes! Another great one from Katherine Center 📖
Full review will be up on NetGalley and Goodreads ❤️

A promising YA fantasy that tells of Deka as she works to discover her true self and the truth about those around her. Overall, I loved the developing friendships as they were so genuine and authentic. While not the most spectacular YA fantasy, I still enjoyed it and am convinced to continue the series 📖❤️
Another read making it to the top of my recommendation list. An honest, well-written memoir that is eye opening and promotes a need for critical reflection. Now, time to tune into Maid on Netflix!
