Excellent and often heartbreaking story. I‘ve already moved onto The Hate U Give because it was that good. #book78of2022

Entertaining and has lots of scientific and historical background. I may have learned a little too much about toxoplasmosis though 😬😳#book77of2022

The audiobook was a hoot! Then his 9/11 story took me by surprise and almost had me in tears. #book76of2022

Funny and sometimes insightful. Otherwise a very odd story, maybe more applicable to folx accustomed to LA life. It‘s a no from me, dawg. #book72of2022

I‘ve seen some mixed reviews but I found it entertaining to drop into Molly‘s world for a bit. I wish there were a few more plot twists, but on the whole it was delightful. #book71of2022

Her voice in the audiobook is lovely and haunting. My knowledge of the modeling industry was nonexistent. It was unbelievable to see what women experience as they‘re just trying to do their job or build a career. #book70of2022

Excellent content but I had trouble following a lot of the essays… it seemed heavy on Texas-specific history which I‘m not familiar with. #book69of2022

🧠 Taking time to relax, scheduling fun events, playing with the cats, reading, audio booking, taking a bath, going for a walk, binge watching TV, using hand and face masks. Making time for the things and people I love.
🧠 Went to bed early and painted my nails 💅🏻

This was a must read given what is going on in the US. Amazing! Frighteningly real. #book67of2022

LikelyLibrarian I reread this recently and found I appreciated it as much, if not more, that the first time. You‘re right. It‘s definitely relevant. It‘s also literary and filled with internal dialogue, so I understand why some readers might not enjoy it. I think THT is a better book, but the sequel, The Testaments, is probably more popular; the story is more “exciting.” 2mo
brittanybooks @LikelyLibrarian I loved the internal dialogue but like you said that may not be the biggest crowd pleaser. The reader for the audiobook was incredible- a very aunt Lydia voice as I‘ve always imagined it. I‘m very excited to read The Testaments soon!! 2mo
melmes I read this for my English class and it blew me away. Such an interesting aspect on how the world can look like if turany and religion prevales at least in my opinion. I liked it 2mo
humouress I got the internal dialogue and the fact that nothing much happened in the story because, quite simply, nothing much happened in her life, but everyone was miserable and getting out of the situation seemed hopeless. I need me at least the hope of a HEA. I get the relevancy too; maybe that just makes it worse? 2mo
