Just started. I often envy religious people for their ability to be spiritual, sit in a breathtaking Church and be uplifted by beautiful organ music while being consoled through their fate. So I'm looking forward to de Botton's take on how we might be able to enjoy some of that as Atheists, too.

Pickpick

I liked this book a lot more than I thought I would. (I was worried it'd be 'too weird' for my liking). And boy, it is unusual. but also thought-provoking and very well-written and translated. And last but not least the edition I have (UK) has a beautiful cover. more thoughts on my goodreads feed btw.

Pickpick

one of the weirdest books I've read this year. i found the characters universally unlikeable, although they seem to do a lot of the right things... for very selfish reasons. Still, it's occasionally very funny and truthful
