pickI've heard so many great things about this book, so I started it with hesitation because of all the hype. To my surprise, from the first few pages I got totally immersed into the story of Elsa Martinelli. Through the detailed and engaging descriptions I could really feel like I was accompanying Elsa throughout her life, her good and bad moments, her inner growth. It was great to learn about the history of US through the eyes of regular people.
