This book was very dry to read. If I wasn't reading it on Audible I wouldn't have finished it. I thought it was going to be geared toward creative people. It was mostly geared toward entrepreneurs and business owners. Some interesting insights but not worth the read.

Pickpick

What a lovely book from shame researcher Brene Brown. The tone, the cadence, the message were all perfection. Initially when I heard that she conducted 300 interviews for this project I was unimpressed. By the end of the book I understood the magnitude of such a feat. She also has lovely Ted talks where she talks about her research in a very meaningful way. I found myself tearing up during certain sections of this book.

Mehso-so

I was pretty disappointed with this book. I'm a big Marianne Williamson fan and thought she would have a loving approach to weight loss. Instead there's a lot fat shaming in this book. The message is if you're not a certain size you need to lose weight and become THAT size. I did appreciate the spirituality and prayer aspect of the book. I listened to it on Audible and she has a very soothing voice.
