My heart was in this book before I started reading it - after hearing the story on Conversations with Richard Fidler I knew I had to read it. What came was a story which defies belief - a Jew rounded up and imprisoned to Auschwitz where he finds the love of his life. He holds his resolve that he will survive. His faith in himself when his faith in everything else, including his god, has slipped away. I loved this book.
