It was ok. I watched the movie 1st and usually you get a lot more from the book than the movie. Not in this case, it felt like it was from the script. Interesting story none the less and glad I read it. I do wonder how much is true:)
Did not care for the Epilogue, Afterword and Conclusion. Too much after the book thoughts and I simply stopped 1/2 through the Conclusion.

This was a great book. I liked the back and forth with how he got to be an astronaut along with his actual year in space. I can‘t imagine what it would feel like to be isolated for that long. His story should be read by anyone interested in space or how to push yourself to reach a goal.

I read this so I could hand it off to my 13 y/o and we could discuss what he learned. I actually learned quite a bit myself. Most of it is common sense but he broke it down with great examples. I now find myself doing some of his techniques on the ice and even in the gym. You could apply this to almost anything you want to excel at. Worth the read

The Terror: A Novel | Dan Simmons

Good read, story moved along pretty well. There were some slow points but overall I‘d recommend it.

Wife suggested it cause I didn‘t feel like going to library. Not my style, felt like desperate housewives to me. I can see why my wife enjoyed it so much.

It was good, different than the movie but that wasn‘t a bad thing. I wish it had more of an ending.

Very good, wasn‘t sure what to think when I heard of it but finished it faster than I intended. From start to end it kept my attention.

This was a different read than what I‘m normally looking for. However it was good, story was interesting and hard to imagine being in those situations. I wasn‘t a huge fan of how they switched between years but still worth the read.

I love science but wouldn‘t consider myself a huge space fan. However, this book was one of the best I‘ve ever read. Hearing about the astronauts and their missions was incredible. I‘d read this again.

Fun book and learned a lot that I never would have imagined. It‘s an easy read but full of knowledge.

It‘s crazy to think about what we did 100+ years ago. Makes me wonder what advances we will have in the future that make our current techniques look barbarian!

One of the best books I‘ve read. I was worried it would be too technical but it wasn‘t. Learned a ton of the why‘s of sleep. Would suggest for anyone wanting to learn more on this subject.

Fantastic book. It‘s a simple read but gives so much info about these fascinating creatures. I‘d love to see these types of books in schools so kids can get a view of what other jobs there are in the world besides being behind a desk.

A fun sci-fi book, parts seem a little cliche but I still enjoyed it and will look for the next one in the series.

Good read and shows where you came from doesn‘t always predict where you end up, but it sure does influence it.
