Norwegian Wood | Haruki Murakami

I couldn't understand the hype for the book. All I could understand was that many people that the author knew committed suicide and that he had sex with lots of girls/ women and that he fell in love more than once. Didn't find the book depressing either! Couldn't understand what he is trying to convey!!

Very practical book. Starts slow but last 3 chapters are the charm.

Anxious People: A Novel | Fredrik Backman
Pickpick

Almost halfway through the book i was feeling like an idiot for having picked up this book. Maybe because nothing connects. But it's absolutely brilliant the way the author has connected many stories at the end. The book gives a beautiful message of hope.

Mind Without Fear | Rajat Gupta
Pickpick

The book is a good read. I can't help but wonder if Rajat was really guilty. Though the author mentioned during the book launch that he wouldn't attempt to clear his image through the book, he seems to be doing so for the large part of the book. I liked the last chapter the most. Here he mentions about his struggles in coming back to normalcy post his release. The book reassures that life may not go as planned but in the end, things will be fine!

Open: An Autobiography | Andre Agassi
Pickpick

I enjoyed reading the book despite not knowing anything about the author or tennis. The book has been written in a very simple language and the author is able to articulate the mental and emotional struggles throughout his star career with ease. Overall a 3.5/5
