A great start of a series of mystery books. A great ending where you the kids get to leave count Olaf as they move on to the next person that adopts them. https://b0f646cfbd7462424f7a-f9758a43fb7c33cc8adda0fd36101899.ssl.cf2.rackcdn.co... #ucfwalterslit

lburgos9 @Nichdorsey02 I remember reading the whole series as a younger kid. I would feel so bad of the kids. The author did a good job at the end of every story of leaving the audience in suspense. #UCFWalterslit (edited) 6y
Caitlin4 I've never read the book series. I've watched the movie and tv show and loved them but somehow I missed this series. I'll have to read them. 6y

Pickpick

A fictional book that‘s apart of a series about a kid who takes on the bully‘s and problems of school by himself as a secret person named Shredderman through an online website. Great series to have in a classroom for boy readers. http://www.thenedshow.com/assets/preventing-bullying-primary-lesson-plan-shredde... #ucfwalterslit

Caitlin4 This sounds like a good book and would be a good way to talk about bullying to the class. 6y

This is a science fiction book. Covers a great story on the main character and his friends building rockets and wanting to make them better and better in a time where men were supposed to work in the mines after school.

lburgos9 @Nichdorsey02 This was another book I remember reading in elementary school as a class. We then went outside and made rockets like the book. I can understand the rocky relationship the dad had with his son because the dad wanted his son to be something he didn‘t want to be. The movie was also great. #UCFWalterslit (edited) 6y
Racheal.Shi.Horton I remember watching this movie in school. The book is a good way to get students interested into science and more specifically into rockets. 6y

This is a historical fiction book. The ending of this really caught my attention because they German soldiers got to see how it feels to lose someone he loved to the way he‘d been killing other people. http://www.storyboardthat.com/teacher-guide/the-boy-in-the-striped-pajamas-by-jo... #ucfwalterslit

In this biography something that stuck out to me the most was every time the Germans would go to a house and search it. It would have me think what if they go to where she was hiding, would they find her, and what would happen if they did? http://study.com/academy/topic/teaching-anne-franks-the-diary-of-a-young-girl.ht... #ucfwalterslit

Kirsten.Pacheco This book is good to teach about the history of what people went through during those times but it also teaches them to be grateful for not having to go through what Anne Frank went through growing up. I enjoyed reading this book in school. 6y

This traditional literature was a book that was shared with me during 4th grade as my teacher read the book aloud to the class also including activities throughout the book. I think it‘s a great book that I would like to share with a future class of mine. http://www.readwritethink.org/classroom-resources/lesson-plans/exploring-friends... #ucfwalterslit

I think this historical fiction is a great book for the classroom because if goes over how things were in a different generation where discrimination occurs. You are able to feel and see everything that goes on through Kenny‘s life.

#UCFWalterslit a poem by Edgar Allen Poe which describes the authors childhood in a dark gloomy way as he looks back on it. Covers repetition, and simile. https://www.slideshare.net/mobile/SusanWilley/close-reading-of-poem-activity
