Started reading this on the plane, but not sure if I like it or not… 5 chapters in, but gonna keep reading.
5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Love these books! On to the 3rd!
It‘s no secret how much I love reading Julia Cross‘ books. “Bright Like Wildfire” was no exception. One of the things I enjoy about Cross‘ writing style is the healthy mixture of humor, smut, and conflict management for the characters. The dosing of these elements was beautifully executed in Betty and Bennett‘s story. The only reason I deducted a star was that it also felt a little too predictable.
“Book Lovers” = ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I LOVED this book and all of the butterflies I felt while reading it. The push/pull ratio between the unsuspecting lovers was expertly balanced and the storyline was the perfect level of difficulty. This novel was a complete recipe for an enjoyable romance! I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the traditional romance novel that actually has a plot in addition to the spice :)
Everyone says this series will destroy me 🥺 I‘m reading it anyway! Oh Lordy y‘all! Send all the good vibes and sexy guys my way
Nervous about this one…I hope I like it!
I would like to extend a huge thank you to #NetGalley for an opportunity to read this one in exchange for an honest review. I have always been a big fan of Rachel Hawkins ever since reading "Hex Hall" back in the day. The last book I read from her was "The Wife Upstairs" and it was a decent read as well. With that being said, I really did not care for this story at all. The characters were extremely superficial, unreliable, and quite annoying.
I remember the feelings I had when reading Melissa Marr‘s “Wicked Lovely” series and how obsessed I quickly became with all things fae! I traveled to every book signing and even purchased memorabilia to support my obsession. I was curious to see if ACOTAR would make me feel the same way. I did enjoy this one 👍🏼
I believe October was the perfect month to read “The Ex Hex” by Erin Sterling. The look and feel for this story was “season friendly” and really added to the overall enjoyment of the book. I highly suggest a cup of hot chocolate and an electric blanket to really add to the feel- maybe even a few candles.
I can totally see why there are so many mixed reviews of this book. Although it is a shout-out to Jane Eyre, it is a beast all on its own as well. I really enjoyed Rachel Hawkins‘ YA book series, so I started off being really excited about this one. However, the characters were completely pretentious a**holes, so it made reading about them almost annoying. But at the same time, I just had to keep reading because I needed to know how it ended.
For some reason, this one wasn‘t listed, so I had to choose the name of a different book. “Den of Vipers” is so sexy, it will make you sweat while reading. A whole other kinda cardio 😉😘 K.A. Knight created a raunchy, yet masterful reverse harem concept here. Shewee it will get the blood pumpin‘! #denofvipers #kaknight
