Only 25% into this one but I'm loving it! Witches, Vampires, Magic and Prophecies!

I loved the storyline, characters & the romance! The pacing was a tad slow so it did take me quite a few days to get through this one. About 60% through it really picked up & I read the remainder in one sitting!

My favorite thing about this book was the romance. It certainly has a Cinderella/Ever After vibe going on. Imagine if Cinderella knew how to fight, well that's Sorrowlynn, the MC in this book. Golmarr is perfect for her!

I COULD NOT connect with the story, characters, world building... Nope, no connections to anything in this one.

I wanted to love this book, I mean the synopsis sounds freaking amazing!

The writing was okay. The first few chapters were pretty fun but then it turned repetitive REAL fast.

The characters were one-dimensional. They felt devoid of realism, completely flat.

Well that's all I have to say about this book.

AngelErin Awe too bad you couldn't connect with this one. 😢 7y

Thoroughly enjoyed the plot and characters. I did end up guessing the ending pretty early on which was a disappointment. The pacing was a bit slow until a little over halfway through. I loved the romance. The ending was great, I'm SUPER excited for book two!

Velvet was one of my favorite reads of 2015 and ever since, I've been yearning for the second book, Cashmere. Luckily Netgalley had this one as a Read Now option and I jumped at the chance to read this baby. Let me tell ya, if you, like me loved Velvet then you'll be blown away by Cashmere!
