And so the #24in48Readathon ends. I did not complete The Farm, but I‘m halfway through and will finish it by tomorrow. I completed 3 great books and all but one were from the books I originally chose for the challenge. I love these Readathons and look forward to January.

Down to the last 5 hours of #24in48. I might just make it. This was a funny book even though some of it was dated. Surprisingly, some of it still is relevant.

Finished book 2 in my 12th hour of #24in48. I loved how this book was structured . It was like a book of interconnected short stories that eventually came together in a way I hadn‘t expected. I loved the sense of place in the novel.

Time for a lunch break. I‘m really liking this book. After I‘ve finished reading it I am going to need something light, so I‘ll be moving to something not in my original pile of books.

The first book I completed for #24in48. It was heartbreaking and it‘s time to call it a night because I need an emotional break.

MarthaG @PurpleyPumpkin I think I will too. I'm not far into the book, but
I love long narrative/character driven novels like this one appears to be.

A luxuriously slow and satisfying novel. I loved the dual timeline, the characters, and the writing. I don‘t know why it took me so long to start this but I‘m glad I did.

I enjoyed this graphic good memoir. I laughed hard at Lucy Kingsley‘s two Rhode Island hen names: Miss Demeanor and Toe Pecker. I have two Rhode Island Red hens though they aren‘t as bad tempered as the ones described. I‘m now so hungry from reading this book that I‘m going to call it quits for #24in48 for the night.

Trying hard to finish this today to get it back to the library, but this book isn‘t meant to finish quickly. It‘s atmospheric with a good sense of place, a combination I love, so I will risk having a delinquent status and aim to make this book the last book of 2018.

This was torture to read. I had no idea how terrifying the dust bowl was and I‘m worried history is going to repeat itself. Recommended as a good history of the dust bowl and a good paired book with Grapes of Wrath.

Thank you so much, Amber @WhatThePuck . I loved everything and can‘t wait to read the books you picked for me. I love that you chose a book that wasn‘t in my usual genre and that book may be the first one I read. The Reading Log is wonderful - recording 100 books in a reading journal is a rare thing. I now have a bookmark for each day of the week. I love the cup and the cookies and hot chocolate. The sachets smell so good. #fffs @Avanders
