Pickpick

Picture one of those big investigation boards with strings connecting different pieces of evidence-that‘s this book. Multiple POVs with seemingly no connections initially, but then the strings begin linking everything together. Enthralling.

Mehso-so

Great writing, but a little too character driven for me. I definitely respect this book and understand why it is loved by many. However, I was expecting a lot of action, and this just didn‘t deliver. I still plan on picking up the second book at some point in hopes that the title Jade WAR means more external than internal conflict.

I had absolutely no interest in being somebody else‘s muse. I am not a muse. I am the somebody. End of fucking story.

The Love Hypothesis | Ali Hazelwood

Because I‘m starting to wonder if this is what being in love is. Being okay with ripping yourself to shreds so the other person can stay whole.

“Like I said,” she responded, “There are two halves that make me whole. One is the girl who grew up practicing our spiritual tradition, and who still feels a duty to uphold those beliefs. The other is the adult who experiences the world on its surface, who hasn‘t had a sense for the ‘supernatural‘ in decades. The believer and the atheist live inside of me together.” “I think it‘s like that for a lot of people,” Faye offered.
