My version is titled, “The Boy Who Could Fly”. It‘s about a boy stuck in an orphanage who trades places with the Loblolly Boy, and becomes the new Loblolly Boy who can fly. But…there are consequences! Someone is after him. I couldn‘t put this down!

This book was scary, but I think my fifth graders will like it. Great descriptions!

mandarchy I am glad you read it and said it was scary so now I know I don't need to read it because if I do I will be scared. Have a Merry Christmas! 2y

I think the goat was my favorite character. Excellence again by Kate DiCamillo.

Not that crazy about it. It‘s about Mickey, who mails in a coupon and gets the anti-book. He finds that anything he writes in the book disappears, like his parents. But then it got a little too fantastical and hard to believe.

Love Gordon Korman. Great book! It went back and forth between present day and WWII. Trevor‘s great grandfather takes him to France to get a medal for liberating a town…but someone doesn‘t want them there.

Loved this…Leah is 11, and a homebody. Her mother is an ornithologist, and leaves her a lot. She is looked after by an elderly brother and sister. Her mother is overdue in the Arctic, and Loah has to step up.

I could not put this book down…I was hoping it wasn‘t a series, but, there‘s obviously going to be another one. Hope it‘s as good as the first!
