For sale on the street.
Seen on the street.
One of my favorite novels.
Always on my TBR list, but somehow I never get around to reading it.
Plays of the 70s--Equus and The Changing Room.
Back cover of Christodora with excerpt from my PW review.
Reading Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park in the park where it takes place, Washington Square.
I'm old enough to remember this original paperback cover.
I saw this photo online and it reminded me of my novels, Paris to Die For and Spy in a Little Black Dress.
Just watched the movie (Judy Holliday and Richard Conte). Can't wait to read the book. Love Fante.
Found this recently at the Strand. Read it in my youth. Like The Sand Pebbles, this is a novel, based on history, that tells a cautionary tale about American involvement in foreign wars (think Vietnam).
The perfect novel to read on the Fourth of July.
This spy novel is short on action but long on a Kinsey-like exploration of sexual mores in the mid-1960s. Dated pulp, but not without its fascinations or merits.
White Palace--the book that gave legitimacy to the trade paperback original novel.
R.I.P. Michael Herr.
1958--when YA was really edgy.
Death Proof meets Near Dark?
Do you know how I can tell it's almost summer? Because I'm reading Goodbye, Columbus again.
I saw this for sale on the street the other day. Early Goldman. Basis for the Steve McQueen/Jackie Gleason movie.
