The Things I Know | Amanda Prowse

I know this is an utterly gorgeous book.
I know that this is my first read from Amanda Prowse but it definitely won‘t be my last!
I know that my heart is warmed from reading this beautiful love story.
I know that I‘m very sad that I can‘t keep reading this book.

A love story between two awkward misfits who met by chance and together brought out the best in each other and enriched not just their own lives but the lives of those around them.

My favourite book in 2017-now!! Absolutely loved the writing style, the concept behind the story and the story itself. I fell in love all over again reading this book! Can‘t wait for Jodi‘s next book!

Almost half way through my first read by Louise Jensen. I‘ve only heard great things about her books!

RadicalReader @KellieJ the baby booties are what hooked me and secondly the fact it‘s a psychological thriller 6y
KellieJ I enjoyed it! Full of twists, great book! 6y

A brilliant 4.5 ⭐️ for me, from an author I‘d never heard of before but who I will actively seek out more reads from now.

3.5 ⭐️ for me, which I know puts me in the minority but for me is was just a nice read.

Eleanor is a 30 year old woman who is very much set in her ways. She builds an unsuspecting friendship with a colleague who both challenges and helps her to move through the ghosts of her past.

An easy, somewhat uplifting read.

‘No thank you‘ I said. ‘I don‘t want to accept a drink from you, because then I would be obliged to purchase you one in return, and I‘m afraid I‘m simply not interested in spending two drinks‘ worth of time with you‘.

😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣

This book seemed to have a lot more hype around it than it deserved. While the book is well written, the story was very drawn out and didn‘t seem to go anywhere. The storyline bored me, yet I kept turning the pages. I was actually relieved to finish the book just to move onto something else.
Overall, 3⭐️ for me.

RadicalReader @KellieJ the movie version is fantastic I urge you to check it out 6y

This book is sweet, funny, a little bit sad but oh so uplifting. It explores the world of a child unlucky to be born with a ‘deformed‘ face that he hates and tries to hide as he moves from homeschool to grade 5 in a proper school. It is real in its encounters with the kids in the world. A remarkable read that will forever stay with me, I can‘t wait to see the movie now! This is a book that every child in every school should read.

TheBookKeepers Agree!! Fantastic story that all ages will enjoy and learn from! 6y

Courage. Kindness. Friendship. Character. These are the qualities that define us as human beings, and propel us, on occasion, to greatness.

I found this to be a slow read despite the easy and well written storyline. I don‘t think this book lived up to the hype that surrounds it, or I‘m particularly hard to please. Either way, it was a well written debut novel that passed the time and hid the guilty party well to the end. A 3 Star Read for me.

A debut novel from Samantha King that was so utterly brilliant I was devastated to finish it. I‘m not one to read ‘random‘ books but I picked this up when shopping for a different book and I bought it thinking it sounded brilliant. Very rarely do I give 5 star reviews, but if I could give the read more that 5 stars, I absolutely would.
A must read for anyone looking for a gripping thriller!

My best friend gave me this gorgeous book lovers mug for Christmas! It‘s so big so it can keep me and my book company for quite a while. It has about 40 titles around the outside and I just love it!!

MandaChittles You could use the books on your mug as your 2018 reading list 😊 6y
KellieJ I could but I don‘t think those books would interest me much 6y

I received this book from a secret Santa so I‘ve started reading it. Who‘s read this?

Cover2Cover Heard good things about this book but have not read it myself. Aussie backdrop is always a plus though! Hope you like it. 6y

While the reviews on this book are mostly average at best, I thoroughly enjoyed the light read. A good 4 stars from me that will have you reaching for the tissues by the end.

While this book started out fairly good, it bored me in the middle and the end just got ridiculous. Poor story line, unlikable characters and terrible writing style. To give it 2 stars is simply generous, I'm not even sure why I persevered with it to the end.
