It's still a pick but a very low one! I won't give up on Tori Bovalino though, because Not Good for Maidens was amazing IMO. I definitely want to read my throat an open grave soon, I love how she always manages to write gorey scenes that just set the mood! The vibes are always super creepy in her stories, and I love that!

This book is beyond anything I've read before. Psychologically, it's so chaotic! I'm halfway through and no character is reliable, and I'm questioning everything. It's very unputdownable and I am fully engrossed in figuring out what the heck is going on at Whitehall Manor.

1. Having a friend with kids to have playdates with my sons. I'm really grateful for her and our kids.
2. Reading Nocticadia was such a fun escape this week.
3. Talking with @BooksNBowls on the phone for the first time. Our friendship has really blossomed over the years, thanks to Litsy.
4. My husband brought me flowers yesterday.
5. My dogs, they bring me so much peace. The picture shows how much they've grown.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book has it all! Mystery, romance, life, and death. Dark academia vibes and a gothic setting with tons of trigger warnings and spice! I highly recommend it.

So dark, so gory, so amazing!

Went out for a bike ride this morning and visited a bookshop downtown. I found this gem in the Mystery section. :)

This book is phenomenal 🖤

This book had a lot of potential to be super creepy and traumatizing, but sadly, it just fell flat. There is no emotion between the characters. Unfortunately, I couldn't connect with any of them, and I was grateful this was a short read!

I LOVED this book, I did not like the ending! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It's a very short read, I read it in the evenings over 2 days' time. Lots of eerie, gothic vibes. Amazing writing style and imaginative descriptions! Janet is very flawed, and that's what makes her story so unique! Also, the dark humor is just the cherry on top. 👏👏👏

I'm at the halfway mark through Legendborn, and it's a great book so far. The pacing is consistent(thank goodness), the characters are well written, and I think there may be some romance blossoming in the chapters to come! I'm having a great time :)
