A book about teenagers spontaneously combusting? How good can this be? It was entertaining and the storytelling was dry, witty, and sarcastic (which was amusing) but didn't change my perspective on life or anything. Great mindless read.

Overall, I feel glad and relived for our humanity that this book exists and these words were written. This is not the be-all and end-all book to race relations in the United States (as I've often seen this book reviewed as such). But it is a crucial voice to be heard and everyone needs to hear it.

My public health nerd self loved this book. As a public health data analyst, this book helped me see my purpose in my job in a big picture way and inspired me to keep doing what I do. Maybe I made the correct career choice after all.

BookMusings Atul Gawande has a bunch of amazing sounding books. I've read Being Mortal, but I really want to read Complications. It sounds fascinating! 8y

As a public health practitioner who works for a healthcare system specializing in innovation, this book speaks to me.
