A Walk Across America | Peter Jenkins
Pickpick

This is one of those books that follows you through a lifetime. I first picked it up around 16 years old and immediately fell in love with the entire concept. Peter has a great way of pulling you into his experiences. Flash forward to my early twenties; I find the book on my shelf and read it again. And again in my early 30s. Every decade of age progression brings a new perspective and appreciation of this amazing journey. Must read.

Passion of Ayn Rand | Barbara Branden
Pickpick

Regardless of your feelings/opinions around Rand's philosophy of Objectivism, this is a fascinating deep dive into her life. Ayn's thoughts, actions, and a complete lack of self-awareness caught me off guard. Drama!

I can't promote this book enough! As a lover of Christmas and all things Yuletide, this fascinating look at the birth of what we know as a Dickensian Christmas is a must read. Standiford's writing is elegant and hooking. I can't wait to read his other works.

RaimeyGallant Sounds super interesting! Is there a strong religious bent in the analysis? And welcome to Litsy! #LitsyWelcomeWagon Some of us put together Litsy tips to help new Littens navigate the site. It's the link in my bio on my page in case you need it. Or if you prefer how-to videos, @chelleo put some together at the link in her bio. Also, I posted some of next month's Litsy games yesterday if you're interested. 6y
Cottonluv Thank you! I'll be sure to look into those things. I'm quickly becoming addicted. 🤣. As to your question, no, there are really little to no (to memory) religious references, which, in it's way, makes it that much more interesting. 6y
