Dystopian Society where COVID would never had survived. Citizens in America now spend most of their time in the OASIS, a digital world that allows you to work, go to school, and socialize from the comfort of your home. But there is a epic "Easter egg" hunt happening where the prize is billions of dollars and lots of power. Wade has to battle to win before the wrong hands grab the eggs. Great story for teens and adults alike. 5/24/21-5/28/21

This book is a lovely combination of social justice and realistic expectations. Two Asian characters live opposite lives under the same roof while attending the same school. This book made me cry while also lighting a fire within my soul to FIGHT MORE for sexual assault survivors. This is my favorite book I've read in the year 2021. 5/22/21- 5/23/21

The movie was my childhood, so as an adult I decided to pick up the book. I loved every adventure Anne took me on and was pleasantly pleased with how well the movie stuck to the book. Anne will always be a role model for me and Gilbert Blythe will always be the husband I will never be able to find. 4/20/2021-4/25/2021

A man with anger issues is taunted by his ex girlfriend who has been missing for thirteen years. This book had me questioning the moral decisions of every character. Literally every page had me scoffing with disgust as the characters made outrageous request and unwise actions. I wanted to throw the book across the room a number of times. But isn't that what a good book is supposed to do…. is it a good book? I don't know!! 2/26/2021-2/27/2021

A young boy watches his father crumble due to his passion for football. Not a fan of poem/stanza books;however, this book had a good flow while tugging at the heart strings so I enjoyed. One thing I really enjoyed about this book is how present the idea of race is without being painfully obvious. This book touches on a lot of issues but keeps it light. That allows kids and adults to pick which journey they want to dive into. 2/23/2021-3/23/2021

Our favourite cliqué returns to a story where trouble follows them everywhere and you're literally dying for more. I felt better connected to the characters because of the development of the story. Now that each one of the trio is coming into their own identities, the reader can find one they relate to and it makes for a much better story. I love to read their perspective on America and the plot was definitely page turning. 2/19/2021-2/25/2021

A Harry Potter-like character attends a Hogwarts-like school with his Edward-like roommate. At first, reading this book made me feel like I began reading in the middle of the series. However, once I got over the "catch-up" part of the book, the plot was much more enjoyable. There were a few predictable plot twists and a very unique ending I wasn't expecting. It definitely makes you want to read book #2. 2/5/2021-2/18/2021

A girl is raised her entire life thinking she is normal just discovered that she will start a revolution. This book series has an amazing start and really gets youth to thinking about classism and if scientific genetic alterations are a smart move. However, the middle is slow and doesn't give you enough to root for. Thankfully it picks back up with some predictable plot twists and a new enemy. 1/3/2021-2/4/2021 (2,320 pages)

A drunk cop, a loving father, and a 5-year-old live in a city where a whispering murderer is killing kids. This book had it all! Murder, mystery, ghosts, and even butterflies. The plot had me reading straight through (not only because I was avoiding nightmares) but because I HAD TO KNOW, " Who done it?!" Tom had me wishing that every father cared this much about their child. ❤ Gotta love Jake! I was very pleased with the ending. 1/2/21-1/3/21
