Just started it and already regretting the fact that I‘ll have to take a break from it to score AP Lit essays in Salt Lake City in five days. Scoring 1500 high school essays kind of kills one‘s desire to read for about a week.

Finished this last night. I never heard the term “white woman tears” before and it struck a cord. Loved this passage. Anyway. Read this book.

MarkoPDX Judging from this passage alone, I think this is a must-read for me. Everybody wants to position themselves as a victim, but the fact is, so actually have been victims of the institutions of our country. Everybody else who wants a piece of the victim pie are just trying to use it to hold their position of privilege. 5y
