Pickpick

This was a fun, light book. It was a fairly standard romance story but it made me laugh. I liked the photography angle and the setting of Hawaii. I will definitely read the next book in the series as I enjoyed the characters and the humour.

I am reading About a Girl for my Travel the World in Books month of June book. For June we were allowed to pick a book set on an island so Hawaii here I come. Also this a light and fluffy story which I have been craving. So far it's been hilarious and I am loving it. @Imlostinbooks

A beautifully written books full of humour about a whaling family in Eden Australia during the whaling season of 1908. A fascinating glimpse into a part of Australian history that doesn't get mentioned often.

Dammit I shouldn't have started this while reading another book. Now I want to read this one.

Every time this book mentions the Plover's I have a laugh as the author describes them perfectly. Also don't think I have ever heard of everyone describe a plover so nicely after being swooped at.

This description of the Plover family was spot on and hilarious.
