Just finished this one! It‘s the first of her books that I‘ve read. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Definitely just what I needed coming off of a not-so-ideal experience last year.

Overall I enjoyed this book. I loved hearing about how Podell had to maneuver to get into some of the more difficult countries. I especially appreciated his thoughts at the end on what he‘s learned about the world after 50 years of travel. My only problem was that adding his more personal romantic exploits seemed contrived and messed with my flow of his stories. I‘d still recommend it though!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! Truly my favorite book I‘ve read in a while. It reminded me of the deep love and appreciation I have for my friends who have celebrated with me at my best and commiserated with me at my worst. This book has also inspired me to research and learn more about how and why society has devalued the female friendship since the Victorian Age. Will inspire you to call, write, text, and tag your friends to let them know. ❤️

LizzieLou I'm only about a third of the way in and I feel the same!! 6y

This one was recommended to me by a friend while I was discussing a career change. Really enjoyed it and I think it would give anyone some food for thought in not just dealing with people at work but everywhere.
