I was given glimpses of Oman‘s history, Bedouin culture, Arabic poetry and the nature of slavery in Oman until it was outlawed in the 1970‘s. Not an easy straightforward read but a delicious feast.
Simona I was shocked about slavery, I didn‘t have a clue! 6y
Currey Yes, at first I thought I was reading about the 1800‘s because the timeline in this book can be confusing, however when I figured out approx what year it was it was shocking. 6y
