Mehso-so

2.5? This book is not worth $13. Its just not. It repeats itself so much I literally skipped over 2/3 of it because it had already been said before on the previous page. Forget if you've already read their first book. The number of times they go on for pages all to say some variation of "in other words" and then sum it up effectively in a sentence made me think of Hume's writing. ?
??????????????????

GingerAntics Honestly, this is all based off of one part of the first chapter of their first book "The Whole-Brain Child." This would be so much better as an additional chapter or two in that book and just move on. This was not worth the price of an additional book. There isn't enough material for a stand alone book. Its good information and just what I was looking for, but it didn't need a whole book on it's own. ?????? (edited) 6y
GingerAntics I think the whole thing would make more sense in conjunction with the other book, as well, instead of covering information from that book in this one, haphazardly. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 (edited) 6y
GingerAntics Unfortunately my high hopes for this book were completely dashed. Read the first book and then get the refrigerator cheat sheet for the discipline side of it off the website for free. #nodramadiscipline #danielsiegel #tinapaynebryson #nanowrimo #research (edited) 6y

Oh my God these people get my snarky personality...or they're serious. If I'm ever a parent I'm going to be total shite. "You know what, mummy needs a minute. I'm going to be in my calm zone with some wine. I'll be back. Try not to kill each other until I get back." #nodramadiscipline #danielsiegel #tinapaynebryson

Reading the companion to the book I finished yesterday. I can start my story without this, but I'm going to need it eventually so might as well get started.

Usually parenting books make me depressed or mildly panicky. The Whole-Brain Child actually made me feel good, so I have high hopes for this one.
