Found this at the Dollar Tree! I‘m not usually a fan of celebrity diet books but hers haven‘t seemed super diet-y and more about eating healthy (which I need to do because of my autoimmune issues) and I‘ve wanted to read them but they‘re expensive. But for a dollar it seemed worth getting. #thebodybook

I love this book. But I can't seem to absorb anything much. The only thing I remember was drinking a big glass of water the next thing after brushing your teeth. Nutrition is for the ultra rich. Normal people like me? We try to get by.

On one hand I like that it is body positive. It‘s not to lose weight but to be healthy & mindful.
However the information is very basic. I have taken a couple nutrition and fitness courses though so this could be why I really didn‘t find it beneficial. If you have no knowledge then yes it could help but someone that has sought out this info then it‘s not for you.

Here's a secret: just because you can put something in your mouth, chew it, swallow it, and then poop it out doesn't mean it's food. It just means you can chew it, swallow it, and poop it out.

I really enjoyed this audio book! Cameron was funny and informative. The book didn't get stale or repetitive. The narrators voice was pleasant as well! Btw, she is seriously beautiful, reason enough to promote healthy eating!

Both this book and The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao won the Pulitzer, both use footnotes as a stylistic device, and both have super similar-looking covers. o_O
