so-soThis was a re-read for IRL bookclub. I listened to audio on my first go and I think I preferred listening to reading. This book wasn‘t as powerful or moving in print form ( or maybe because I already knew the outcome the content wasn‘t as engaging) So for my second read this book only gets a so-so. I still plan to send it to you @TrishB 💙💙💙Feels like ages ago when we were discussing this book at Foyles. #GoodOleDays

Cinfhen Bookclub met tonight/ we had to reschedule from last week @TrishB @Cathythoughts we had a really good discussion! Only one person didn‘t care for the book but all felt it was a relevant and worthy topic to highlight and all agreed that cultural appropriation while important in this case smacked of censorship. Nobody should have the right to call out an author for what stories they are allowed to write & tell. 4y

Cinfhen We were supposed too and it‘s allowed now but one girl is high risk & she was too afraid to leave the house so we kept it to zoom @TrishB hopefully by June she‘ll feel comfortable enough to meet in person ♥️ 4y
