pickI love Linwood Barclay's books and this one did not disappoint. It's a race against time and tech millionaire Miles Cookson has been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Two decades ago, Miles was a sperm donor. He thinks he may have nine children and he would like them to inherit his money. Chloe Swanson embarks on a quest to find her biological father. Her mother used a New York sperm bank to become pregnant 22 years ago.
EadieB Miles and Chloe eventually connect but a series of mysterious and terrifying events shows that there is a vicious killer trying to erase his heirs. Who is this person or is something more sinister going on? This plot kept me glued to the book until the very explosive end. I enjoyed the characters and found them believable. Barclay is an excellent storyteller and has proved it with this one. 3y
