A power punch novel full of insightful observations. The story of a boy growing up but also a stunning look at grief. Equal parts funny, insightful, and heartbreaking. Fantastic book to read with a teen, there really is so much to discuss! Thank you #bloggingforbooks #aaknopf for sending me a copy to read and review! Im nearly done with two of these, and was afraid I wouldn't have enough to read next week on vacation to Maine. But then this #bloggingforbooks gem showed up today!

While the storyline was fairly predictable, the reading was quick and dirty making it a good summer read. That being said, this is a forgettable book that I won't remember a few months from now. If you're looking for light suspense and traditional characters, this book is for you. #caturday #bloggingforbooks

The first book I've read in a long time that I would call a 'page turner.' There wasn't a dull moment.
The characters were deeply flawed and deeply human. This story left me feeling like I knew them all.
The wrap-up of this book felt satisfying but heavy, in a way that showed how much work went into crafting it.
More to come... #BloggingForBooks

Virtual reality gaming has taken over the sporting world. Gamers are the ultimate celebrity, gods walking among men. But, the world of VGR has some dark secrets and Kali is tired of playing their game. Caine touches on themes of censorship, terrorism, war, rebellion, betrayal and others that are relevant to today. Her ability to tie together the past and present proves the age old saying that history often repeats itself.

A nice read about a man's journey in finding God in the wilderness of the mountains, plains, deserts, and rivers of the Western U.S. (&Baja California). It made me crave the peace of the outdoors, but other than that I didn't connect in a deeper way. The stories seemed disconnected from each other and it was hard to get into.
