Asher | Carian Cole

This is the last book (so far) in the series and we finally get the whole story behind Asher, the lead singer, and his wife Ember. Tragic but hopeful. I loved reading their story and Asher's devotion to Ember was off the charts, pun intented. The only negative is the story dragged. At just shy of 500 pages I think it would have been better with 50 to 100 pages less. Despite this, I enjoyed and this is a great series. 3.5 ⭐️

Losing the memories of the last 15 years of your life every night when you go to sleep would make me reluctant to #HitTheSack 🛌 (even with Colin Firth) 🫣😉
Read the book & saw the movie.

8-16-23: My 79th finished book of 2023! This took me way too long to finish. It was just so repetitive. Eli Hoopes is an amnesiac who in 1965 contracted encephalitis and loses everything he learns within 70 seconds of learning it. Anything before 1965 he can remember. This means he always thinks he‘s 37. Margot Sharpe is the neuroscientist who meets Eli at the beginning of his illness and experiments on him for years. ⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣7️⃣9️⃣

Rating: 4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫
This was only the 2nd time ive read a book by Sophie Kinsella so i kind of knew what to expect even tho each of her books has a different storyline and this one was no different then what ive read in her Shopoholic Series last year. This one was a cute yet quirky at times story about a woman who has a tumble down stairs in Downtown England then develops Amnesia. The Characters were fun and interesting to read about.

Pickpick

I have been on a beach read binge lately and this book fits the bill. I enjoyed that the mystery and the romance were so intertwined. The story is one that will make you laugh at times and cry at times. The author did a really good job of unraveling the crime and it just sucks you in. 4⭐️

These two books are both contemporary romance and both are fiction. Also, both are written by a female author.

There maybe other things they have in common but I am not far enough along in Help Me Remember to identify them.

Clwojick Authors both have “first names” as last names. ❤️ 1y

Pickpick

I like Sophie Kinsella books. This one wasn‘t my favorite but it hooked me well enough. A good, quick read for vacation. I probably wouldn‘t pick it up a second time but it was good enough. Interesting take on amnesia and life and relationships. If you‘re an SK fan, definitely give it a go.

I lead an IRL book club for fellow parents and friends wanting to read more middle grade books! Each month I select 3 middle grade (MG) books (sometimes throw in a few young adult-YA) based on a theme. Members pick one, two, or all three to read. I thought some of you might want to join in! This month's theme is Bullying; the 3 books are shown above (2 middle grade, 1 YA). If you read along with us, just tag me and the event #MGBookWhisperer
