Chapter Nine is one of my favorites 💚 But it also makes me think of Peter Jackson's (in my opinion, poor) choice to include Tauriel in the movies 😂

wordslinger42 @Susanita Same here! Tolkien wrote strong female characters, and her character could have been so great, but I think the focus ended up being more on the love triangle between her, Legolas, and Kili, which truly annoyed me 4y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa You know what I caught this time, that I didn‘t before, in the movie verses book and parts added to the hobbit to accommodate LOTR later...Gandalf is off now on “other business”, which in the movie involves checking out the Necromancer and finding Thorin‘s father then in his dungeon, BUT he has already given Thorin the map, back in chapter two that he got from Thoton‘s father after he found him in at the Necromancers.🤷♀️ 😱😂 4y
