Four lives knit together…There's a little yarn store in Seattle called A Good Yarn. It's owned by Lydia Hoffman, and it represents her dream of a new beginning, a life free from cancer. A life that offers a chance at love…Lydia teaches knitting to beginners, and the first class is How to Make a Baby Blanket. Three women join. Jacqueline Donovan disapproves of the woman married to her only son, but knitting a baby blanket would be a gesture of reconciliation. For Carol Girard, the baby blanket brings a message of hope as she and her husband make a final attempt to conceive. And tough-looking Alix Townsend (that's Alix with an i) is learning to knit her blanket for a court-ordered community service project. These four very different women, brought together by the age-old craft of knitting, make unexpected discoveries—about themselves and each other. Discoveries that lead to friendship and acceptance, to laughter and dreams. Discoveries only women can share…

I‘ve been working on my knitting skills, & this book about a knitting shop, & first time knitters was a delight to read. I loved everything from the adorable knitting shop called, ‘A Good Yarn‘, to the dynamics between the four main characters & each of their stories. Macomber, I‘m finding has that lovely, feel good, cozy vibe that seeps into each page of the book. Perfect when life‘s a bit chaotic & you need to destress & unwind. 📖🧶

Can you tell from first impressions whether someone could become your closest friend? Story of four different women with different struggle in their life, different social status, different ages. But they never imagined they would become close friends attending this knitting class for their own reasons.

Mehso-so

I just finished the audio book. Well, overall I thought it was an okay read. Four women take a knitting class and of course each of them has their personal issue that they struggle with. I usually don't read this author but I'm giving the other two books in the "Blossom Street" series a go since they're available on #hoopla

GA_Bookworm07 Debbie macomber is one of my faves. Esp cedar cove series. Altho i hate the show. #debbiemacomber 7y
