“Coming to terms with aging and changing hormones is definitely a process.”
“Primary pain is what is actually happening, the physical reality.”
“Secondary pain is the negative emotions such as embarrassment, frustration, and fear of loss of control you might have about the event.”
“That secondary pain makes the experience harder and more stressful.”
“Be cognizant if you are adding secondary pain to your situation, and decide to let it go.”

“Women over 40 give birth to 4% of all babies. 75% of those are unplanned—In part because many women assume they can no longer get pregnant. Many women In perimenopause ovulate more than once a month, which can also make it harder to predict fertility.”

Questions I have about perimenopause:
What did ancient hunter-gatherer societies do differently for the aging women in the tribe?
What plants or natural remedies give relief?
Why do hormonal headaches start behind one eye and move across to the other in a day‘s time?
Can a woman have a regular 28-day cycle with all the signs of ovulation but not actually ovulate?
What is estrogen dominance?
Do emotions alter hormones?
What are all the symptoms?

Fortifiedbybooks The best book I've read so far that will answer nearly all of those questions and a whole lot more is The New Menopause (tagged). Also really good is her book The Galveston Diet, though updates to that based on newer scientific data are on The Pause Life website. 4d
