"Can't Get Enough balances brutal emotion, whip-smart humor, and delicious spice. Moving, romantic, and thrumming with life, this is Ryan's best work yet." ?Talia Hibbert Hendrix Barry lives a fabulous life. She has phenomenal friends, a loving family, and a thriving business that places her in the entertainment industry's rarefied air. Your vision board? Shes probably living it. Shes a woman with goals, dreams, ambitionsalways striving upward. And in the midst of everything, she's facing her toughest challenge yet: caring for an aging parent. Who has time for romance? From her experience, there's a low ROI on relationships. Anyway, she hasn't met the man who can keep up with her. Until...him. Tech mogul Maverick Bell is a dilemma wrapped in an exquisitely tailored suit and knee-melting charm. From their first charged glance at the summer's hottest party, Hendrix feels like shes met her match. Only he cant be. Mav may be the first to make her feel this seen and desired, but hes the last one she can have. Forbidden fruit is the juiciest, and this man is off limits if she plans to stay the course shes set for herself. But when Maverick gives chasepursuing her, spoiling her, understanding heris it time to let herself have something more? Kennedy Ryan pours her whole soul into everything she writes, and it makes for books that are heart-searing, sensual, and life affirming. ?Emily Henry One of the finest romance writers of our age. This wasn‘t my favorite book in the trilogy of three female best friends, but it was still really good- an HEA romance following a unique path devoid of typical tropes. I also liked the nod to Atlanta and how the city has been a place where black entrepreneurs have thrived.

May reading #wrapup

Favorites:
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng &
Can‘t Get Enough (tagged) which is book 3 in the Skyland series. I just love this series so much. Kennedy Ryan gives us strong, very real women who take no shit and find partners who love them for the strong women they are without fear. 🥰

Also read:
Madam by Cari Lynn & Kellie Martin for #roll100
Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs for my #mercyreread
Both 4⭐️

Worst read ⬇️⬇️

MeganAnn Worst was Abducting Abby by S.E. Smith. Poorly written, the sexy scenes were cringey & the plot was all over the place. My mom wanted my opinion. She saw a bunch of good reviews online & others talking about how good it was… then couldn‘t believe how bad the writing was. She wanted to know if I felt the same (I do). To get the bad taste out of my brain I did a reread of Ice Planet Barbarians then gave it her as a well written example of the genre (edited) 1w

Hendrix is independent and driven. She is focused on her career and her mother whose Alzheimer‘s is progressing. Getting involved with Maverick could both impact her career and her independence but she might have finally found someone who is actually worth compromising for. As always I am thankful for Kennedy Ryan and the complex, amazing characters she creates and her stories that are full of emotion but still make me swoon.

jdiehr I'm excited for this one! 2w

I want to give all the stars to this book. Hendrix has been my favorite of the Skyland trio since book 1. So happy to see her sassy self shine. For a romance, it brought out all the complicated feelings that surface when caring for an older family member. I also really appreciated having a heroine who knew how to put herself first when needed.

TW: A main focus of the story is Hen caring for her mother, who has Alzheimers.

Jas16 Hoping to start this one tomorrow. Your review only made me even more excited 3w

This book was everything. Hendrix is real as hell and stays true to herself — I was here for it. Her crossing paths with Maverick was kinda wild timing-wise, so I totally get why she was hesitant at first. But ayeeee, MAVERICK? That man is everything. He knew Hendrix was the one from the jump and didn‘t hold back ‘at all‘ letting her know. I soooo loved this book.
