Instead of spending Saturday night reading (my usual weekend activity) I had the pleasure of seeing Sir Elton John in concert. He is an amazing performer . In two weeks he's turning 70 years old but he has the energy of a young man. The show started promptly at 8 pm and he was at his piano the whole evening. The encore was Candle in the Wind.

Nuwanda I saw him in 2014 (I think), and he was amazing. We found out AFTER the show that he was suffering some laryngitis. We would never have known if it hadn't been announced afterward. 7y

Dragon @Nuwanda there's another concert here tonight. A friend of a friend is going both nights! Wish I could have done that. He's apparently staying in Vancouver and flying back and forth for the concerts . 7y

Hooked_on_books Wow! I love musicians like that. I saw Depeche Mode about 8 years ago (well past their heyday) and they were amazing. Glad you had a good time. 7y
