What I will remember this book for more so than the story is the lack of proof reading. Numerous errors jump out at the reader including chapters that appear out of context. While introducing Lestrade in the early stages of his career to those who know him through his association with Sherlock Holmes is a good idea, there isn't much else that makes this book outstanding. Chance rather than detection brings closure to the case.
