From #1 New York Times bestseller Lisa Jewell, an author "at the very top of her game" (Lucy Foley)--three women are connected by one man in this kaleidoscopic thriller. Restauranteur Paddy Swann was the life of the party until the day a man pushed him in the path of an oncoming train, leaving his twenty-something daughter Ash and wife Nina devastated. Shortly after Paddy's funeral, the two women receive a surprise in the mail: a note and package from Nick Radcliffe, an old friend of Paddy's, and a nondescript lighter that once belonged to him decades ago. This unexpected gift draws Nick and Nina closer together--much to Ash's dismay. Martha is a small-town florist with dreams of expansion. She lives with her second husband Al, her baby, and two sons from her prior marriage. But they never seem to have any money, and with his constant traveling for work, she feels like a single parent--especially when an emergency makes her realize something needs to change. But Nick and Al may not be who they say they are, leading these three women on a shocking collision course, wishing they had heeded a warning: Don't let him in.

I will probably not remember this book in the years to come, but it provided me with a few hours of fun entertainment and sometimes that is enough to ask of a book. I found myself riveted as I anticipated the satisfaction of justice being served upon the villain. While there are a lot of characters and keeping track of a few of them was not easy, it did not detract from my enjoyment. Thanks to NetGalley for the digital ARC. 3.75/4 stars!

Bailing on this one.
I am a mix of bored from the repetitive story and super frustrated at various character‘s stupidity. #hailthebail

These characters were rich in flaws, and the time jumping timeliness came together, like pulling a thread all the way through. It is amazing how she can keep it all straight, tantalizing the reader with just enough to get you hooked and kept focused on the story. The descriptions made me yearn to be staring at the English Channel(this is from France).

Once again, Lisa Jewell has written a great novel with 'Don't Let Him In.' I wasn't expecting to like this book as much as her other novels. Romantic entanglements and cheating aren't my thing. However, Jewell proved me wrong. There is such a sense of coming doom in the cat-and-mouse book. I couldn't stop reading it. There's a dual timeline, and short chapters keep the story going. 4.5 stars.

This was entertaining and I didn‘t stop until I was done. The MMC is despicable, we know this from the get-go and have a little faith in a redemption. What makes this so fun is the women within don‘t know what the reader knows, and as said reader I just wanted to jump into the pages and tell them, ‘No. Really. Don‘t let him in!‘. ….This narration is great!

CoverToCoverGirl This great review makes me want to finally jump in and read this author. 4d

This is one of those books where the less you know the better. I read it in one sitting. Run don‘t walk. Thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books for the ARC.

7/2

Nick Ratcliffe is a man who is evil and cunning and uses so many different names it is a miracle he remembers to use the correct name the person knows him by.

DON‘T LET HIM IN will have your mind spinning and whiplashing back and forth after each introduction of a character and a new scheme of Nick‘s.

He is despicable and has a ready lie for anyone who questions him and anything that might threaten his charade. 5/5
